1946 Admiral 6RT43A Tube Radio / Phonograph Chassis 5B1A – Post-War Wood Cabinet Model
Offered here is an original Admiral 6RT43A radio-phonograph combination dating to approximately 1946–47. This model features a 5-tube AM superheterodyne chassis and built-in 78 RPM record changer.
This unit is being sold as found and untested. It has not been powered on due to age and original internal components. A detailed video is included in the listing showing the cabinet, interior, tubes, and changer mechanism.

Original Admiral-branded tubes are present. Two tubes are currently removed but included with the unit. Two tubes can be seen and installed. It is unclear from the photos, if the 5 bulb is installed.
Condition Details • Solid wood cabinet with original finish • Age-appropriate cosmetic wear (see photos & video) • One bottom rubber foot/buffer missing • Changer tonearm moves freely when manually manipulated • Needle/stylus not installed in tonearm (loose 78 needle included) • Internal components appear original and unrestored • Two tube positions currently empty; loose tubes included • No testing performed
Given the age (approximately 75+ years), this unit should be electronically serviced (recapped) before operation.
