Meet Roxie!!

Roxie is 7-year-old turtle with a ton of personality. I’ve had her for about 2.5 years, and she’s been my little work-from-home buddy ever since. She’s active, curious, and entertaining — she loves rearranging her tank and loves to follow your finger along the glass.

She’s healthy, social, and has never bitten anyone. She doesn’t exactly love being held, but she tolerates it fine when you need to move her between tanks. She’s used to regular cleanings and water changes and always keeps herself busy swimming, basking, and exploring. She’s super curious and active. I’ve kept her in a pretty deep tank, so she is a super great swimmer.

Roxie’s favorite foods are butter lettuce, dandelion leaves, strawberries, and cuttlebone (she takes her calcium very seriously). She’ll even eat out of your fingers or tongs too! She used to uh… eat actual rocks —the substrate I had when I first got her, which is how she got her name — but she’s all good now haha. I just gave her bigger rocks that can’t fit in her mouth. (Don’t worry I did take her to the vet and got X-rays, she was fine lol)

I’m moving soon and unfortunately won’t have room for her 55-gallon setup, so I’m hoping to find someone who’ll enjoy her as much as I have. I’d hate to have to just surrender her to a rescue or drop her off at a shelter. I am genuinely so sad. She’s a great companion if you like lowkey pets with big personalities. I can give you all of her accessories, her heat lamp, AND her tank as well if you’d like- It’s a 55 gal.
