I had a contractor give me a "good deal" on a furnace and air conditioner system about five years ago. The problem is, he installed a 100k BTU system in our house (our home only needs about a 60k BTU system). This system produced so much heat it would overheat the high limit switch and re-cycle after only a few minutes. I've replaced the high limit switch 2-3 times since this unit was installed.
I finally found a reputable local company who explained why and how this was way too much furnace for our current ducting and house size. They installed a 60k BTU system for us.
There is a lot of life left in this system. The flame sensor and high limit switch are brand new. The evaporative coils were professionally cleaned yearend 2025. I have changed the filter every month we've owned it.
I have a firm quote from one of the techs who installed our new system, and if you buy this, they can install it with a one-year warrantly on labor (not equipment) for $1,500. In other words, you could get a 100k BTU system for only $3,600, installed. A new system like this would cost $8-$10k installed.
This unit would be ideal for a rental home that is 3,500-5,000 square feet or a small warehouse (no larger than about 5,000 sq ft). Or if you want to put it in your own home, I'm sure it would serve you well for many years to come, as long as your ducting and house size match the system.
I have about a half dozen filters that are included with the system.
