I am retiring soon and I have decided it’s time to let my Lionel train collection go. Up first is a prewar circa 1918 to 1922 #156 12 wheel electric type locomotive and matching passenger car set, two 610 pullmans and one 612 observation car. This has been on a shelf on display for years, I put some leads from my transformer to the locomotive and the wheels spun like they should and the headlight lit as it should, there is also a manual reverse lever and it also functioned correctly, reversing the direction of the wheels.
This set I believe to be original, (I am not an expert), including the wheels, paint, and motor. The frame on the loco may have been repainted at some point? It is over 100 years old and one of Lionel’s very first “O” gauge offerings. It is in very good condition for its age. This is a collector piece if you are going to run it regularly it will most likely require servicing as it has been sitting on display for years.
Asking $300 or best offer, please no shipping, located in Farmington Utah, cash on pick up only.
Thank you, Trevor
