Rare antique Russian samovar is a rare model antique with Russian stamp on it. This coal-fired samovar is in survived condition and offers a decorative feature as a historical item.
Thr stamp on the base is of vintage Russian samovar, which is a traditional metal container used to heat and boil water for tea. The stamp identifies the manufacturer as the factory of Pyotr Vasilyevich Galishev [Info]. Samovars like this, particularly those with ornate details or silver plating, are collectible items often associated with 19th-century craftsmanship. Historically, many such samovars were produced in the city of Tula, a major center for samovar manufacturing.
Most pieces like this are missing the tray and pot. this has both.
its base is dented but can be fixed. I wasn't going to attempt to do that. when my Dad shipped it too me good O'L USPS did it.
This is still a great piece. I'm unsure if it's silver. It might be pewter as well. I polished one spot a few years back. Seemed like it could be silver. Maybe, maybe not.
Still a fun antique for a Speakeasy or Bodega on a shelf. Or you can try and restore it.
Serious buyers please.
