Meet Pebbles
Pebbles is a Pyrenees/Heeler/Collie mix who will be 3 years old on March 20th She is a sensitive, loyal girl who bonds deeply with her people and absolutely lives for cuddles. Say “Pebbles, cuddle?” and she’ll come running to snuggle 🤍
About Pebbles: • Would do best as the only dog in the home • Can make dog friends outside the home with slow, proper introductions • Takes time to trust men but warms up with patience and consistency • Great with kids – best with 6+ (may herd when excited and doesn’t like tail/paws touched) • Lives with a cat but will herd when the cat moves • Housebroken • Loves snow, hates heat • Not suited for farm/outdoor living — she wants to be indoors with her family
Resource Guarding Details: Pebbles does best being fed separately from other animals. She prefers to graze and keep her bowl available throughout the day.
She does not guard her food from the children in her home — they can touch her bowl without issue. With people who do not live in the home, she may try to herd them away from her bowl but has not shown aggression toward people over food.
Her guarding behaviors are directed toward other animals, not humans.
She has guarded food and water from the household cat.
She may also guard higher value items like bones or treats.
Toys have not been an issue that the owner has observed.
Because of this, she would thrive most as an only pet or in a very experienced home that can properly manage feeding and high-value items. Pebbles does experience kennel anxiety and panics in a crate (has escaped/broken one). She should not be left unsupervised as she may chew or get into the garbage. She’ll need a patient home willing to work through her anxiety.
There was one past bite incident involving a man who treated her poorly. It did not break skin. Since then, she can be cautious with men at first, but with respectful introductions she bonds deeply.
She has 3 favorite toys (which will go with her!), and while she’s not big on most toys, she loves her special ones. She can be bathed, but nail trims and brushing her back end require a muzzle.
Pebbles will come with: ️ Kennel ️ Food & bowl ️ Leash & collar ️ Her 3 favorite toys ️ Microchip (needs transfer) ️ First year vaccines + rabies (spayed at 1 year old)
She is truly a cuddly, loving dog who needs a committed, patient family with time for her and a secure fenced yard — and lots of space on the couch for snuggles
Please contact Mikayla Ann Strong if you'd like to meet this sweetie🫶
