Lyle Piaso is a third-generation Navajo (Diné) silversmith originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

• Training: He learned the craft from his father, Joe Piaso Jr., a noted silversmith who began his own career in the 1970s.

The stone in this ring comes from the Kingman Mine in Mohave County, Arizona, which is one of the oldest and most productive turquoise mines in the United States.
