VenmoA BountyHunter TimeRanger Pro. Decent gold discrimination, similar to Fisher F19 or Gold Bug Pro.
Deposit: $200
48-hour Rate: $16
Pickup and drop off is in Provo. I can arrange to leave it out for you if you pay in advance.
VENMO, PayPal, and cash accepted. Pay $200 when you pickup, I will refund the difference when you return.
Tips: It's best if you can narrow the search space. Searching for, e.g., a ring in a field can be daunting because of the number of false positives from bottlecaps, soda tabs, keychains, coins, etc. To maximize success, recreate the lost item scenario with a similar item, and practice detecting this similar object.
The Time Ranger Pro has fairly robust sensitivity and metal discrimination capabilities to reduce false positives, but it will take an online tutorial to learn how to use them correctly.
If you've lost something especially small and valuable, you might also consider theringfinders.com or reaching out to a metal detecting club (many expert finders have a "pay-what-you-think-is-fair if it is found" policy or a nominal travel fee). Metal detecting can be quite challenging depending on the item and where it was lost.
