Venmo1988 XR600R Dual sport. Registered. Insured. Title in Hand.
The bike was sitting in a shed for a long time in pieces. I got it and did a mild restoration on it. I took the bike all the way down to the bare frame, had the frame sand blasted so I could weld up some cracks in it, then repainted everything. I also cleaned and readjusted the carburetor to run at altitude. I did not open the engine up, the only thing I did was install a new clutch. Also rebuilt the forks: new seals, fluid, and air.
New parts: Fenders/plastics, headlight/bezel, handlebars, grips, handguards, kill switch, steer bearings, gas tank, petcock, fork boots, brake pads/drum, tubes, tires, CDI box, ignition coil, wiring for the lights, spark plug, airfilter, turn signals, lights, chain, chain guide, chain slider, license plate mount, and phone mount so you can use your phone as speedometer, as well as some dress up parts from XR’s only.
The bike runs great, starts up within the first couple kicks. Registered dual sport so you can ride it on the street as well as the dirt. It does better on the road because of the dual sport tires I installed, but doesn't have too much issue on the dirt. I took it out to Delle and didn’t have any issues. I have put a couple hundred miles on the bike since I finished it. Gets up to about 70/75 mph with the current gearing.
Keep in mind the bike is from the 80’s. Weighs about 350lbs. KICK START ONLY. It's a brute but it is a blast to ride, the throttle is a little stiff, the bike is a little tall depending on your height and again, it is a kick start only so you can't be afraid to kick it over.
Overall the bike is great and a lot of fun to ride, if you are looking for a bike you can rip on the road, then blast out onto the dirt, this is perfect.
Mostly looking for cash, the only thing I would consider trading for is a ‘20 and newer CRF125F Big Wheel or a 2012 and newer CRF150R/RB.
$3500 OBO. Willing to negotiate.
