VenmoThis vintage 1920s Graybar Stimulator, belt massager and exercise machine was manufactured by General Electric. I picked it up maybe 40 years ago in upstate New York, where we had it mounted through a floor vent in an old farmhouse, out here in Utah we bolted down through a concrete floor vent, to keep it stabilized. We called it the “giggle machine,” and at birthday parties (before the piñata), kids would line up and get great joy as the belt shook the laughter out of them. The metal stand and a motor mounted on top, could use some paint restoration, and the cord could use replacement, but it works ! Historically used as a “therapeutic massager,” with some preposterous, advertising calling them a weight loss device... guess you can lose weight giggling. CONDITION: the frame and motor are in good warned chip paint condition, with a little surface rust, the belt is in good condition. The end of one of the amateurs is missing its stainless cap, but it was like that when I got it last century, so it doesn’t affect anything operational. Speaking of operational, this will need to be anchored someway, at one point I had it pinned to a half sheet of heavy plywood, so standing on it gave added stability. I also mentioned that I had it pinned to openings in the floor, a bit of that hardware is still attached (SEE PIC). Get this rigged correctly, and it will be a whole lot of fun. Similar models have been sold for approximately $200-400.
