Scott has teamed up with Alpride and uses the electronic avalanche system E1 in there new backback "Patrol". The whole system weighs in on 1280 gram and is thus quite a lot lighter than any other electronical avalanche backpack-system. The secret are that the fan that blows up the airbag are driven by super capacity battery witch is a different story from a classic lithium battery. That reduce both weight and troubles in cold temperatures. The ballon blows up tp full size in 3 seconds. And finally, this new avalanche backpack is supposed to be a bit easier to carry on airplanes as there is no cartridge.
