The Fender Classic Player Baja '50s Telecaster is widely considered one of the best value-for-money guitars Fender has ever produced, often praised for its ability to "go toe to toe" with much more expensive American-made models.
Designed by Custom Shop Master Builder Chris Fleming, it blends vintage 1950s aesthetics with modern playability and expanded tonal options.
Custom Shop Pickups:
Custom Shop Twisted Tele in the neck voiced for more "plumpness" and clarity
Custom Shop Broadcaster in the bridge for classic high-output punch
4-Way Switching: Beyond the standard three positions, a fourth position adds both pickups in series, creating a fatter, humbucker-like tone with a significant volume boost.
S-1 Switching: A push-switch in the volume knob allows for out-of-phase tones in positions 2 and 4, provides an expansive palette ranging from "classic twang" to "nasal funk".
Neck Profile:
Soft "V" profile
Modern Fretboard: the Baja uses a 9.5" radius with medium jumbo frets, which makes string bending much easier and more reliable
No trades unless it is some kind of cool vintage acoustic archtop
