VenmoWe are looking to rehome our sweet Irish Doodle, Archie. He is 6 years old, fully vaccinated and up to date, microchipped, neutered, very well house trained, and doesn't have behavioral issues. He is a standard size and currently weighs just under 60 lbs.
He is 75% poodle, 25% pure Irish Setter.
We love him so much, but unfortunately we are about to have our fourth baby in 6 years, and he isn't getting the attention he needs. We really think he would do best in a house with older children or empty nesters. He has never had issues with our young kids, but he does seem to just tolerate them and doesn't interact with them much.
He thrives with daily walks, absolutely adores the snow, and is a cuddler.
He was crate trained as a puppy, through his first year or two, but now he is left out at night and when we are gone. He's very responsible and we've never had him chew anything up or get into things he shouldn't (unless we happen to leave a kitchen garbage out unattended ).
He is used to a backyard with space to roam, run, and play.
He would NOT do well in a house with other cats. We've never had an incident with a cat, but he goes on high alert and wants to chase whenever one is around our house or he sees one on a walk.
We aren't sure how he would do in house with other dogs. If you have questions about this I'm happy to answer anything about what we think!
He truly is a great dog and we are heartbroken to have to rehome him. We really want to find him a good fit where he will be happier and receive more of the attention he deserves for the rest of his life.
We're looking to rehome him for $250.
We can include everything we have for him, including his medical records:
-A bunch of outdoor and indoor toys
-Three-ish months of dog food (one full bag and one partial bag)
-A bunch of treats
-Dog food container
-Two dog bowls
-A bed
-Harness and leashes
-Training/E-collars
If you're interested, please send me a message with details about you and your family.
Thanks!
