VenmoThese are a dwarf shrimp for freshwater tanks. they stay small (max 1.5 inches) and breed prolifically if they aren't being eaten by a bigger fish. I have a great colony of them and they're acclimated to local water and most of the females are usually either saddled (pre-breeding shrimps with eggs in their ovaries) or berried (shrimps with fertilized eggs they are carrying under their tail)
I find these to be the coolest to keep because they are white/clear, so you can see their digestive and reproductive systems
-closely related to "Cherry Shrimp" (Neocaridina davidii)-
They would be good as cleanup crew for excess fish food, but most fish will eat the babies so the best colony comes from a species-only tank (like mine). they also eat the biofilm on decor and wood, but will not destroy living plants/algae I started my whole colony from 22 shrimps, but it took almost a year to get this far
-- PRICE -- High-quality (perfectly clear) -- $5 per shrimp red-phase (slightly red tinged) -- $3 per shrimp dark-phase (has brown or black spots, closer to the wild-type) $2 per shrimp
Discounts?? (applies to high quality only) 20 shrimps -$80 instead of $100 40 shrimps - $175 instead of $200 60 shrimps - $250 instead of $300 80 shrimps - $300 instead of $400 100+ shrimps $2 per shrimp
ALL ORDERS WILL CONTAIN AT LEAST AS MANY INDIVIDUALS AS ORDERED (I try to catch a few babies or extras too, but there is no guarantee)
red and dark phase are not always available, I try to keep my tank as cleanly-bred as possible, but if you just order a quantity with "whenever you have that many" I'll gather them specifically for you
(I've included a shrimp meme, find more funny memes and care advice on reddit at r/shrimptank)
