I bought this lens from the Nikon USA store brand new. It was made in Japan. It has only been used a few times so is in mint condition. I primarily shoot wildlife and have a longer lens for that. There are no scratches or marks of any kind and the lens has been stored in a protective case. (Smoke free, pet free home) Notice there are no wear marks on the mount because of such minimal use. I have all the original packaging, manuals and included accessories.
This is pretty much like buying a new lens. Come see this in person. Bring your Z camera and try it out.
