Retiring soon and cleaning out my condo, up for sale is some rare Lionel prewar T-rail track. Made from 1938-1942 only. This track was made to used with the legendary Lionel 700e scale Hudson. This is the only track most of the 700e locomotives will operate on. Lionel made variations of the 700e to run on the regular tubular track. That being said any Lionel locomotive or rolling stock that works on tubular track should work fine on this track.
This track has a radius of 72” and it takes 16 curved pieces to complete a circle. The straight pieces are 14” long in length. The track is attached together by actually using tie plates, nuts, and bolts and the center rail uses a rail joiner. The rails are actual T-shaped steel rails and are very rigid connected to each other with die-cast ties.
There are 48 curved pieces most are excellent shape some look new and 30 straight pieces all in great condition but dirty and can use a good cleaning. No rust just some dirt and grimy grease to clean up. Plus a bonus straight pieces that is missing a tie. Then there is the hardware. There is three baggies of original hardware and there is a shrink pack of hardware. The shrink pack is repro hardware I purchased in case I didn’t have enough of the original. I didn’t count it all but you can count it on pickup if you want. Also two tools to tighten the tiny bolts and two lock-ons are included.
To recap, 2.5 circles of track + 30 complete straight tracks + hardware + tools and look-ons. Oh one straight missing a tie and I almost forgot there is one original box.
Located in Farmington sold all as one lot, cash on pickup, Thanks for looking Trevor
