VenmoVogue Picture Disc Vinyl-#R755-Charlie Shavers Quintet-Broadjump & Serenade…
This is a rare Vogue Picture Record, specifically a 10-inch, 78 RPM record from 1946 featuring The Charlie Shavers Quintet performing the song "Broadjump” and on the other side “Serenade To A Pair Of Nylons,” manufactured in 1946 by Sav-Way Industries in Detroit, Michigan. It is used and has scratches and wear from age and use. It didn’t come in a sleeve so I put it in a rice paper inner sleeve and then a blank cardboard sleeve to keep it protected and so it will remain in this condition until it is sent to you. There are pictures of both. There are a good amount of scratches from age and use. It plays really pretty well though. There is a lot of static and pops but I was surprised at how well it played. Because of its rarity and its age it is a really cool collectors item and pretty valuable.
-Manufacturing: Produced by Sav-Way Industries in Detroit, Michigan, these records feature colorful illustrations sandwiched between a central aluminum core and clear vinyl. -Artist Lineup: The recording features Charlie Shavers on trumpet, Buddy DeFranco on clarinet, Alvin Stoller on drums, John Potaker on piano, and Sidney Block on bass. -Collectibility: Known for their unique artwork, Vogue records were produced for a short time between 1946 and 1947, making them highly sought-after collectibles. -Details: The record is catalog number R755, and the illustration is credited to artist Will Wirts.
Let me know if you have any questions. I’m a collector myself so I treat all the albums as if they are my own! Also, I’m not someone who is going to keep lowering and lowering the price, so if you’re interested just make me an offer! I am very open to reasonable offers so message me! Not open to trades though! Thanks!
