The bike is a high-performance, fuel-injected, 249cc, six-speed dual-sport motorcycle with roughly 30hp at 10,000 RPM, weighing ~295 lbs, and featuring fully adjustable suspension. It has a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The stock 250R has a 36.6-inch seat height. However I have lowered this one with a Yamalink and seat concept low profile seat. The WR has 11.8 inches of ground clearance. Disc brakes front and rear.
You can buzz around town on this WR or it is highly capable in the mountains or deserts. It has a 21” rim in the front and an 18” in the rear.
I modified this bike for overlanding to do the Continental Divide Motorcycle route. I changed the front and rear sprockets to lower the overall gear ratio by 6% since I do a lot of steep climbing. I replaced the seat with a “Seat Concepts” seat which sits a little lower and wider, much more comfortable. I replaced the gas tank with a 4 gallon one. I installed a Yamalink suspension to lower the ride. Put a grill in front of the radiator to block rocks from the radiator. It’s got handguards. Attached a rear rack with panniers to carry my gear and a tank bag for maps, candy bars and a cell phone. Mileage: 1,950.
I have all the original equipment: seat, gas tank, sprockets, chain and fenders. The title is clean and unencumbered.
The price, $6,750, is for the bike and all the gear. ($1,750 in gear)
