The subs have never been pushed anywhere close to their limit, but if you know anything about JL audio and the w3 lineup you'll know that they can it @ 1000W RMS (2x subs).
This box is tuned very deep at 26 Hertz which is such a pleasure to listen to. W3s by nature are very fast and hard-hitting subwoofers and these dual 12s pound so hard that it takes the breath out of your lungs and rattles your skull. Not only is it really loud when driven hard but it also digs really deep and hits ALL of the notes especially the really deep ones. Whoever designed this box knew what they were doing.
I'm an electrical engineer and I've been into car audio for decades. JL audio is my favorite brand and I have to say that these are just too much subwoofer for me now that I'm over 40. I'm still rocking a JL audio subwoofer but just a single 10-in as my daily driver now.
These subwoofers are for serious listeners only! This is the perfect combination of loud, deep, and sound quality. JL audio is objectively the best out there.

BRAND NEW AMPLIFIER! Recoil DI1500.1 = $75 ($110 on Amazon) 1500W RMS @ 1 ohm 1100W RMS @ 2 ohm (perfect for these 2 subs) 685W RMS @ 4 ohm
I've gotten a lot of stuff from the brand recoil and I've been very satisfied with their build quality and product offering.
