These handmade in Japan touring frames have features you see today only on custom bikes--fully lugged construction, internal cable routing for dynamo wiring, etc. And, of course they have everything else you'd expect--mid-blade fork mounts, three bottle cage mounts, rear rack mounts, mounts for front and rear fenders, and clearance for 700c x 38mm tires with fenders.
This bike still retains most of its original parts:
- Sugino "half step plus granny" 3-ring crankset
- Shimano Deore XT cantilever brakes
- Some of Suntour's best brake levers and shifting components
- A strong 36-hole wheelset with double-wall Super Champion rims with eyelets
- Specialized-branded bars, stem, quick release skewers, and even bottle cages
The only issue to note is a broken barrel adjuster nut in the right lever which can be removed and replaced.
