Sturdy butcher block top in solid oak. Remainder of island is solid wood in oak and birch. 2 spacious storage shelves are solid wood with stainless steel tops. On the opposite side of the island, there is seating space for 2 stools.
This island is an absolute cult favorite (seriously, browse some Google results), because it serves as a central kitchen work center, great storage space, and dining table all in one. It retailed for $399.99 from IKEA and typically sells used for $300+ because of its great popularity and durability. It's a great quality piece that will last for years and years (not a typical IKEA product). It has been a lifesaver for me in a small apartment with a tiny combined kitchen/living room and no storage cabinets or room for an actual dining table.
The island is in good condition, with some light scratches on the chairs that you'd expect from a piece used for a few years. The island is extremely customizable - search online for IKEA hacks of Stenstorp islands and you'll see tons of examples of how people have changed the base color, stained the wood top a different color, added sides to conceal items stored on the stainless steel shelves, etc.
