I have standard Emu chicks from two completely unrelated pairs. All my chicks have been naturally hatched by their fathers which is why I don't have chicks sooner in the season. I have found the chicks are healthier with no leg problems when I incubate the natural way, I could get 3 to 4 times as many chicks if I Incubated them myself. But I would rather have less but better chicks. I have been doing it this way for almost 30 years.

I like to let them get at least two weeks old before I take them from their fathers and they go to new homes.
