We are selling our beloved 1999 Airstream Safari. This is a turnkey Airstream which has been meticulously maintained and comes with significant upgrades (new hot water heater, new toilet, solar, etc.) ready for use today. We have extensive maintenance records and receipts dating all the way back to delivery in 1999, as well as original instruction manuals. All systems are fully operational and detailed below:
Interior:
The interior is completely renovated with both original and upgraded components. This airstream underwent a major interior upgrade to include new walls, new laminate flooring, and a complete re-wiring of the electrical system to accommodate the solar charging system.
As it sits currently, the interior has an easily removable cozy carpet installed for cold weather comfort. Underneath the carpet is an excellent condition laminate flooring installed in 2017 (see photos). We are willing to remove the carpet ourselves prior to sale if you wish.
Other interior upgrades include:
• Custom additional storage locations
• Adjustable, solid kitchen table
• Additional 12 volt wall outlets
• Updated sinks and countertops
• Updated backsplash
• New Dometic toilet and related plumbing ($1,000)
• New water heater ($1,000)
• Dimmable LED lighting
• Smoke alarm and CO2 detector
• Memory foam full size mattress
• New window curtains
Layout: Front sleeper sofa, mid bathroom / kitchen, rear bedroom (one full size bed).
Exterior:
The exterior of our Airstream has been polished to a mirror finish. On the roof, it is equipped with three 100 watt solar panels and comes with a 4th panel which is deployed on the ground ($2,500 option at the time of install).
Other exterior features include:
• New 30lb propane tanks (x2)
• New propane regulator and hoses
• New wheel bearings and brakes professionally serviced
• Complete set of AirSkirts ($2,500) including all skirts, air pump, installation tools, and storage bags.
This Airstream has received constant upkeep and attention, and is equipped for year round use. It means a lot to us and we are only selling because we have decided to downsize to a smaller Airstream model better suited for our current needs.
