PayPalThis PRS Silver Sky electric guitar has been heavily upgraded so that it no longer plays like an SE (Made in Indonesia versions) but more like a USA made PRS Core model. I'm still not sure I really want to sell this guitar. I have had two SE's and they both needed a lot of work and money to stay in tune and improve the the tone. So if you want a PRS SE, beware that it will need some upgrades and a set up.
The upgrades: Lindy Fraline Vintage Hot pickups with baseplate ($325), Lindy Fralin pre-wired pickguard with the first tone pot being a push-pull pot with a standard cap and Lindy's "Magic" cap for more tone options ($75) (it sounds amazing), MannMade steel tremolo block ($100) for more sustain and easier string replacement - the SE blocks are poorly made and a tool is needed to remove the strings since the sting heads get stuck, GraphTech Ratio locking tuners ($200), GraphTech Tusq nut installed by Guitar Czar (luthier) ($50), MannMade Saddles ($100).
Never giged. Just occasional playing in the home studio. No dings. No fret ware. Gig bag included. It feels and sounds like an American-made guitar! So good. I've decided I like a thicker neck profile for my big hands.
