Barn Name: Rooster Registered Name: OCR Boston Enterprise DOB- May, 12, 2016. Breeder: Robert Olson State: Utah Sire: OCR Cashin Nus Chex (palomino) Dam: Illegal Enterprise (sorrel)
Rooster is a experienced gelding with a history of competing in various events, including barrels, poles, and roping. He’s well-suited for 4H, rodeo, jackpots, ranch/cattle work, or as a companion horse. I have been using Rooster in my lesson program for a year now he does decent with kids but he works best with experienced riders.
Throughout the last five years Rooster has competed in organizations like UHSRA, RMBRA, Turn Pro Jackpots, and the Red Rocket Futurity. His notable achievements include qualifying for Utah High School rodeo state in poles, he took first place in Jr. Posse LaRue competition in 2023 at the Weber county fair, he also qualified for the Little Britches National Finals in 2024-2025.
Rooster requires a calm, experienced, and consistent rider who can patiently work with his spunky demeanor. If you’re looking for an experienced horse who will work hard for you, Rooster may be the horse for you!
Rooster does have some daily maintenance needs. We currently manage his arthritis with Previcox and he’s on Omeprazole for ulcers. Rooster is looking for a new home that will offer him some TLC. Someone who can work with him to develop a good relationship and bond with him and who can make sure he gets the right care that he deserves!
Updated veterinary records are available as of February, 11, 2026, current on immunizations, \
Rooster stands for experienced farriers and is currently in “EGG BAR” shoes. Rooster loads and unloads independently. Daily exercise, and turnout is recommended. Rooster thrives when competing, but requires ongoing maintenance, consistent conditioning, and rest time after events.
We are flexible on pricing as the most important thing is that we find a loving environment where we know Rooster will receive the care he deserves. Please reach out to know more information thanks! We would also appreciate that if you can provide a few details on where rooster will be living and if he will be with other horses or by himself.. We would be willing to trade him for a good kid safe Palomino or Buckskin Mare that I can use in my lesson program Rooster is currently working in my lesson program and he is a little more to handle at times for my lesson classes Thanks
Videos and photos are available upon request. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have, please include your name when messaging.\
