We are looking to rehome our 2 guinea pigs, we have only had them for about 2 months. There is nothing wrong with them, we have just decided that these aren't for us. We got them a big enclosed cage when we first got them, and then upgraded them to a big open concept cage as they like those a lot more. They are very nice. Good with kids, a but skittish, but let you hold them and all that. They like my 8 year daughter a lot and let her with no issues. You will obviously just need to build the trust.

We spent a good 200$ on the big open cage set up and all their new toys and things. And $100 for them. We use pads and blankets for them, with a hay box, you could obviously switch to a full hay floor set up or how ever you'd like.
