ApplePay11-week-old Cane Corso American Pit Bull Terrier Husky Mix Puppy.
Meet Blaze. :) He is a friendly, strong, smart, cuddly, obedient, and very loyal big guy. He’s a talker (husky) who loves to be either right next to you (pitbull) or scoping out the area to protect you (cane corso). He’s got great energy and would enjoy lots of space to play, but he also loves to cuddle up and take naps with his fur siblings.
Blaze is a big eater who doesn’t prefer to share food, so if you have other dogs, he can be a bit possessive. The cane corso in him also makes him possessive of his owners, so he will make a great protector, but it may be a challenge as he gets bigger if you have multiple pets and they don’t bond well. We have two bossy heeler pups about his same age who he bonded very well with and loves to play and snuggle with, but he’s dominant by nature and doesn’t tolerate when they pester him. He would do best with siblings who can safely rough play or cuddle with him but still respects his space.
The pitbull/husky in him makes him also very social and friendly. He loves our neighbors and warmed up to our family and toddler son very quickly. He starts out with a slight guard up at first, but he seems to be very good at reading people, so he quickly makes friends and gives the sweetest smiles and kisses. Toddlers are also not known for respecting personal space, so even though Blaze loves our son and is very sweet and patient with him, we make sure to separate them when Blaze is eating, and his sheer size alone warrants supervised play time just in case.
We have only had Blaze for a short time, but we have been so proud of how smart, obedient, and well-behaved he is. He has learned to sit, come, and sleep in a kennel at night. He even did great with his first nail trim. That said, he does get pretty sad when he’s lonely, and he can be pretty stubborn, so leash training will take patience. He’s not fully potty trained yet, but he’s progressing well.
Blaze is already a big boy, and he will get much bigger. The only reason we are saying goodbye is because we don’t want an amazing puppy to grow into an irritated dog who has to put up with herding dogs and children bugging him constantly. It’s not worth the risk if he gets fed up when he’s fully grown.
It’s a very difficult decision to rehome our sweet boy. Blaze will be a powerful force for good in the right environment, and the lucky family who welcomes him into their home will have an absolute treasure.
Birthday: 1/23/26 Not fixed. First round of shots done.
