ZelleThis guy is a 2 year old grade quarter horse colt. He was purchased in the beginning of march as untouched unhandled. I brought him home and got right to work with him. I spent 4 weeks intensely working with him for a competition. He is such a rewarding horse to work with as he is very smart. Things take a while for him to understand, but once it clicks, it clicks! It has been fun working with him. He is one I would like to keep because he is going to make an awesome horse. He’s smart and very athletic. He just doesn’t fit in the program we’re wanting to build so he unfortunately needs to find a new home. I’ve gentled him to where you can pet/brush him all over, pick up all four feet, catch and halter in a big area, load in the trailer, I’ve had a saddle on him quite a bit while working him and have been on him 4 times. I wouldn’t say they were rides but I’ve been up on his back in the round pen letting him maneuver around. Everything I’ve done has been pressure and release. I feel like this method lays a firm foundation for them to remember what you’ve taught them and a good teaching method going forward. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to come meet him.
