My brother purchased this grappling hook new from a climing store in CA to use on a couple of rock-climbing adventures in Joshua Tree National Monument about 4 years ago, but due to health issues, he was never able to use it.
As the pictures show, the grappling hook and 35 feet (I measured it) of heavy duty climing rope is in perfect shape, since it was never used.
The grappling hook has am approximate 9 inch span, is 10 inches long; and each tine hook has a 3" depth to it for ensuring security in its gripping capabilities. It also has the very beneficial rounded hook ends so that you can unhook it when finished.
He paid about $40.00 + tax for this grappling hook and climing rope (which was sold separately), so my asking price of $10.00 for it seems very fair at less than a quarter of its original cost for the same new system.
