They don't come any sweeter than my girl Journi. She is a 13 year old grade mare standing 14.2 hands. We got her in 2024, before that she was a ranch horse and was used to move cows. Since owning Journi we have taken her many miles, very slowly. She is not a mover. Journi likes to slow poke around. She has been perfect for my husband who had never ridden before and my daughter. I ride her occasionally but prefer my horse who likes to keep up with the rest of em. Journi has visited senior homes and would be a good therapy animal. I posted her a few months ago and got too sad thinking about not having but it really isn't practical for me to keep a horse that isn't used often. She is exactly the same no matter how long she has off. No tune up necessary. No maintenance She is a beautiful bay and gets dapples in the summer. She has recently been treated for a scratch in her right eye. It's healed but left a small white foggy spot. The vet doesnt think it will go away and also doesnt think it inhibits her vision in the daytime but could at dusk. Teeth done May 2024. Shoes done last month. She stands tied, loads, and is great for farrier. I will be sad to see her go but want her to get out more and feel as special as she is.
