HEZA TOP BUDHA “Blue Duck” is a 2014 gelding from York Performance Horses’ program by Pabst Budha Ribbon out of Fantastic Frosty.

Blue Duck stands 14.3/15 hands and is a stout, pretty grey gelding. He has been competed on in the breakaway roping at jackpots, amateur rodeos, and pro rodeos and I have won money on him at every level. Blue Duck has also been heeled on at home, patterned on the barrels, and rode outside to gather. This horse is broke, fast footed, and one of the most athletic horses I have seen. He has all the run and stop you want. He is completely sound with no maintenance.

The caveat on this horse is that he is a hotter style horse with a quirky personality. He is not dangerous, does not buck, and does not do anything dumb. He has a lot of go and if you are looking for a horse to lope around in reining circles with a loose rein, he is not for you. I have never had any box issues with him and the more he is used and roped on, the better he gets. When he is rode down and being used regularly he calms down significantly. For somebody who gets along with a horse like that, I think he would be excellent.

Blue Duck would make an awesome breakaway horse for somebody at any level from high school to pro rodeos. This horse is incredibly talented and I will only let him go somewhere where I think he will excel. A high school girl recently rode him and he was great for somebody who is handy.
