ZelleI am selling my wood router collection due to heath issues. They have all been cleaned up and refurbished when necessary. The ugly 80s Black and Decker with giant handles, and the B&D Quantum Pro plunge router are brand new never used still in the box when I found them. The Porter Cable 3.25 hp plunge router is a never used factory rebuild. The Elu 3.25 hp plunge router was only used once. The star of the show, the 50s Stanley has new handles on it but I have the original wood handles as well. I was going to list the routers individually but I figured there might be another collector out there. How much I'm asking depends on the router. The Rockwell is $50 and the ugly 80s B&D the same. (It's ugly but is nice too!) The rest I figure we can look up on Ebay and come to a reasonable price for you. Yes I need to make money but I am also wanting to find my routers good homes. I spent hours making each of these routers look like they do and it's a shame to have them sitting there collecting dust and not being used. I will sell individually or in groups or them all at once. Nothing made in China here!!
Starting on the right front roll:
1950s Stanley polished up to look new, replaced the knobs because they were too small for my hands. I have all the original goodies that came with it.
1960s Craftsman polished up as well. Definitely low mileage when I found it.
1970s Rockwell. I bought this new myself and it has been used over the years but pampered and loved.
Super heavy duty B&D. This was brand new in the box but someone had removed the knobs and baseplate. I put new ones on.
1990s - 2000s Makita. Hardly used but was covered in paint. It took hours of polishing and cussing to get the paint off.
Back roll, 1980s NOS B&D. A little ugly but you gotta love the big handles. I bought it to use with a dovetail jig, those big handles would be perfect for this. NIB when found.
Brand new B&D Quantum plunge router. NOS little brother to the Elu. Made in Italy. NIB when found.
Factory rebuild Porter Cable 3.25 hp plunge router. Never used. This was still the box but had been stored poorly and in need of cleaning.
Last and the one that breaks my heart to lose, the Elu (B&D super, super high end) This beast is made in Switzerland and only used once. Still in the box when found but again stored poorly.
All of these routers work perfectly. They were all disassembled to insure all the internal components were in good working order, bearings tight and smooth etc. When necessary less than perfect parts were replaced.
I have the original wreches or replacements. The Stanley comes in a wooden box hand made by the original owner when he bought the router with all the tools etc. I have the original case for the Makita as well.
The Milwaukee is not for sale, I need to keep one in case I am able to use a router again. It was a disaster when I found it and a challenge to bring back to life so I'm attached. One of the last Milwaukee power tools still US made before they moved all manufacturing to China.
Thanks for looking!
