This can be used as a flatbed scanner or as a dedicated Film scanner for all formats I have been using this with view scan software and a Mac m3. Free software can be downloaded from Epson, but it works best with silver fast or viewscan software. also comes with a protective dust cover. The ports are USB or fire wire 400.
