Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Pioneer SX-450 stereo receiver that has been professionally serviced, cleaned, tested, and upgraded with cool-running LED illumination. This is one of Pioneer’s most popular compact receivers from the golden age of hi-fi, loved for its warm sound, classic silver-face styling, walnut-grain cabinet, and dependable performance.
Although The SX-450 delivers 15 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms, DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU, it sounds better than many much high power rated receivers and amplifiers with Pioneer’s highly regarded engineering and excellent tuner section.
Pioneer described these receivers as offering “uncompromising demand of quality,” with careful component selection and refined design features.
Service / Work Performed- Thoroughly cleaned inside and out Controls, connections, and switches cleaned and lubricated for smooth operation, all Functions tested Dial and indicator lamps have been upgraded to LED for Cooler operation / reduced heat vs original incandescent lamps Faceplate, knobs, cabinet cleaned and detailed, Internal components have been visually inspected for issues.
