Aloe marlothii (Mountain Aloe) is a large, single-stemmed, cold-hardy (to 20°F) (zone 9-11) succulent native to South Africa, reaching up to 10–15 feet tall. It features a, massive, spiny, gray-green rosette with vibrant, horizontal orange-yellow winter flowers. It prefers full sun, well-draining soil, and requires low, infrequent watering.
