Gracie is an approximately 15-hand grade Quarter Horse mare with a solid, real-world resume. Before we purchased her, she spent two years as a dependable ranch horse, roping, sorting, and doctoring hundreds of cattle. She’s the kind that shows up every day—quiet, honest, and ready to work.

She walks, trots, lopes, and neck reins with ease. Gracie has a good motor when asked, but stays level-headed and manageable. She thrives when she has a job, and truly shines outside the arena where she’s most in her element.

She’s been exposed to traffic, tractors, and the general chaos of ranch life and takes it all in stride. She’s confident around other horses, navigates obstacles like bridges and gates without hesitation, and handles new environments with a calm, willing attitude.

On the ground, Gracie is exactly what you want—gentle, easy to catch, leads well, stands tied quietly, and is great for the farrier. She’s up to date on hoof care and recently had her teeth floated.

We originally brought her in with more arena-focused goals. While she has done well with confident riders, her temperament and experience suggest she’ll be happiest and most valuable in a working role or with someone who enjoys getting out and doing a job with their horse.
