Lucy Glitter Sparkles is the best little kids horse you will find. She is not fancy broke but she has way more whoa than go making her ideal for beginner riders. Lucy is an American Saddle bred but she is surprisingly short at just under 14 hands. Lucy is a walk/trot horse and if you really push her, you can get her to canter.
At home in the corral or pasture Lucy is the same easy-going horse even if you only ride a few times a year. I will put anyone on her. In new places she can get a little more animated and will paw when excited. She will settle down once she gets used to a place. She did crow hop on my son at a 4-H practice when he tried to kick her up into a canter but her heart wasn't in it and he stayed on. That is the only incident we've ever had with her.
Lucy is a mare and can act like it. She doesn't have to be at the top of the pecking order but can be pushy. She loads and trailers well, she is an easy keeper, she has good hard feet and stands well for the farrier. She was just trimmed on 4/24/26 and has recently been wormed.
My kiddo's have sadly outgrown her and she is ready to find another little one to teach how to ride.
