JB Herefords has been raising cattle for over 100 years. A few years ago, we took things a step further and built our own butcher shop—giving us the ability to control the entire process from pasture to plate.
Our cattle are born and raised right here in Cache Valley. They graze our pastures and are fed the hay we put up ourselves through the winter. We also grow and mill our own grain, so we know exactly what goes into our cattle—no shortcuts.
We aim to be as natural and transparent as possible—doing things the right way, not the easy way.
Because we own the butcher shop, you get added flexibility:
- Custom aging to your preference\
- Cut exactly how you want it\
- No middleman
How it works:
- Sold by hanging weight (you pay for exactly what you get)\
- Average full beef: ~750 lbs on the rail\
- Price: $5.00/lb (hanging weight)
Freezer space:
- 1/2 beef ≈ fits in a 7.5 cu ft chest freezer
With how unpredictable things are today, having high-quality beef in your freezer just makes sense.
