VenmoI specialize in compost here at Salt Lake Compost. Occasionally I get customers making raised beds and needing dirt or soil. What I have done is found a local source of soil and mixed it 50/50 with my compost.
Typically, people don't have miles of land to scrape the topsoil off and sell. This soil has the nutrients from the decaying plant life or compost so it's good soil to plant in and people typically want "Topsoil". Well, most soil is retrieved from deep down and typically that soil hasn't got the nutrients as topsoil would. This would be considered Sterile soil. So, what I do is mix this sterile soil with my compost at 50/50 and making nutrient rich soil.
Be careful when choosing soil because as you know. It's not just being scraped off the top of miles and miles of property. It needs nutrients.
So, bottom line is, I've got great soil amended with my compost ready to plant in. I do have a two-yard minimum at 100 per yard and have free delivery within the Bangerter belt. Same day delivery.
