Venmo1982 Honda XL500R – mostly restored, ran a couple months ago.
This is a solid bike that I've put a lot of work into. Rebuilt the top end 6 months ago and it was running great. I took off the carb to rebuild it but I've got too many projects right now and won't be able to finish the build. All it needs is an air filter and carb clean and it will start right up. I have the side plastics to cover the air filter and battery but not OEM.
Rebuilt top end Fresh timing adjustment Frame stripped and repainted Tank repainted Plastics restored Wiring cleaned up and sorted Forks cleaned up New chain Cargo rack
The bike is about 70% through a full restoration. It’s complete overall but still needs a few finishing touches:
Needs new shift lever Needs a battery Minor odds and ends to fully finish
Great project if you want a classic dual sport that’s already had the hard work done.
