Built for Production-Scale Blending The Ironside 35 CF Ribbon Blender delivers a 1,000-liter working capacity (44 CF / 1,250 L total fill) inside a fully welded 304 stainless steel trough, driven by a 14.75 HP gear-reduced motor turning a dual-helical ribbon agitator at speeds up to 30 RPM. The counter-flow ribbon geometry moves material simultaneously inward and outward along the shaft, producing a homogeneous blend of free-flowing powders, granules, fibers, and lightly wetted masses in typical cycle times of 7–15 minutes.

At 94" long, 52" wide, and 87" tall, the 35 CF footprint hits the practical sweet spot for mid-to-large contract manufacturers — large enough to consolidate batch sizes and reduce changeover frequency, compact enough to fit standard production bays without specialized rigging.

Sanitary Construction You Can Validate Every product-contact surface is 304 stainless steel as standard, with 316L stainless available as an option for chloride-sensitive or cGMP-regulated environments. Key sanitary design features include:

• 4 mm trough wall thickness for structural rigidity and dent resistance under repeated CIP/COP cycles
• 10 mm ribbon thickness sized to resist deflection under dense powder loads (pre-mixes, mineral blends, protein isolates)

• Air-actuated discharge valve with a 3.5" shaft diameter drive system for reliable, hands-free batch release
• One-piece hinged lid with safety grating for full top access during cleaning and inspection

Operator Safety & Controls The pre-wired NEMA control panel includes a digital batch timer, illuminated on/off controls, and a prominent emergency stop — all mounted at operator height on a swing-arm enclosure. A lid-position safety sensor automatically cuts power to the agitator the moment the lid is lifted, eliminating the most common ribbon blender injury mode and supporting OSHA lockout/tagout compliance.
