This is A 1953 MGTD. Original steel car.
This is a project MGTD that came to me with an MGB disc Brake and rear axle upgrade, but no drivetrain. I have removed the wood floors and began mounting a Volvo 4spd overdrive and a B20 engine. This will result in about 120hp, (double stock) with an excellent cruising speed. I have a rebuilt head for the motor, and new gaskets for the motor and transmission, and will continue to work on installing it. Already put new Mga master for hydraulic brake and clutch, machined flywheel and new clutch, ect. Have multiple set of carbs ect…
Also have another set of 15in wire wheels and correct tires with new tubes. I’ve just kinda been collecting parts and tinkering on this between other projects.
This is a project, but I’ve kinda gathered all the major pieces needed to either start a full restoration, or put the car back on the road with a full mechanical resto(mod) that is period correct for these mid 50s mg’s.
