Meet our smart, athletic little mare with a lot of potential and a kind heart. She’s been exposed to cows, is comfortable with people roping off of her, and would make an excellent prospect for breakaway roping, goat tying, playday events, or a youth barrel horse. She’s quick-footed, responsive, and enjoys having a job to do — she thrives when she’s learning something new.
Though smaller in size, she’s handy, capable, and athletic enough to go in several directions. She’s already showing promise working around poles and patterns and picks up new tasks quickly. Her intelligence and responsiveness make her a fun horse for a rider who enjoys building a partnership and continuing her training.
She has a sweet personality and is very good with our boys. Our 12-year-old rides her regularly and gets along very well with her, and our 7-year-old recently rode her around poles with success. She’s patient with children and enjoys attention and interaction. However, she is not a beginner “babysitter” horse that you can put just anyone on. Like many smart mares, she has personality and does best with a rider who has some experience, confidence, and clear communication.
She also does best when kept on a regular work schedule and enjoys consistency. With regular riding, she stays focused, willing, and eager to work. She would be a great fit for a youth or smaller rider with some riding experience who wants a versatile horse to grow with in rodeo, gaming, or ranch events.
With consistency and a job she enjoys, she has a lot to offer.
