VenmoVintage solid wood rocking chair with a sweet cottage-style look and lots of character. My mom bought this chair in Germany in 1970 to rock my brother as a baby, so it has a unique history and is over 50 years old.
The chair has a painted finish, spindle back, curved arms, and decorative detail along the top rail. It is sturdy and functional, but it does show age-related wear, including paint chipping, scuffs, some warping of the below-seat accent piece, and some cracks in the wood, and finish wear on the seat and rockers. It could be used as-is for a vintage farmhouse look outside or refinished/painted for a fresh update. You can tell it was repainted in the late 90s/early 00s when crackle finishes were all the rage, and that paint is flaking off as shown.
