Old surface grinder in need of a rebuild
All parts are available for this grinder from harigtechsupport.com, 847-683-0476
It needs torn down and cleaned. The oil pump must be replaced. The saddle feed needs work. All oil lines should be replaced. Wiring needs replaced. So it needs a few hundred dollars in parts.
Both the spindle motor and the dust cabinet fan motor work. 230V or 460V 3-phase. Wired for 230V now.
The magnetic chuck looks OK
This machine would be great little grinder for your shop. I don't have the time to work on it and don't need it anymore.
The price is roughly what it would bring at the scrapyard. If I just give it away somebody would scrap it for the money, which I'm trying to avoid.
Come check it out. It's on my truck and I could drop it off if you aren't too far from SLC. You would need a hoist of some sort to unload it (about 900 lbs).
I'm vacating my storage unit and need it gone by the end of the month.
