Time to let a blast from the past go, sadly our family doesn't use it and it's taking up garage space. If the ad is up, it's still available. Please only contact if seriously interested!
Not shown in the photos is a second row double seat, the van seats 6 total, we have all the headrests for all seats.
The van shows light wear for a vehicle that is 31 years old. A few minor dents, no rust and light stains on the upholstery. There are 3 small tears on the tent that have stretch tape applied over them. The engine is great, transmission shifts smooth, A/C blows cold, you can cruise along on the freeway at the speed of traffic with no problem. It does slow down to about 65 mph going over passes when fully loaded.
This 1995 Volkswagen EuroVan was modified by Winnebago Industries. The following was replaced in 2018: timing belt and water pump and engine control modules, and overhauling the rear drum brakes as well as installing a replacement valve cover, valve cover gasket, coolant flange housing, spark plugs, lower ball joints, front outer tie rods, and left-front headlight adjuster clips.
Finished in Arctic White over patterned gray cloth upholstery, the van is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-five paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. It also has a pop-up camper top, a rear window wiper, a sliding right-rear door, 15″ steel wheels, power windows, a Kenwood CD stereo, swiveling captain’s chairs, second- and third-row bench seats that fold into a bed, and a kitchenette with a sink, a faucet, a two-burner stove, a refrigerator, and power outlets.
The van is finished in Arctic White with black bumpers. Exterior details include a pop-up camper top, a rear window wiper and power-adjustable side mirrors. The left-front headlight adjuster clips were replaced in 2019. Steel 15″ wheels with covers were mounted with 205/65 Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tires in December 2019. The van is equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drums. Additional work in 2019 involved overhauling the rear drum brakes with replacement drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders as well as replacing the lower ball joints and front outer tie rods.
The swiveling captain’s chairs are upholstered in patterned gray cloth, and the cabin is appointed with power windows and a Kenwood CD stereo. The air conditioning system works great. The cruise control does not work, needs new control module.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 111,750 miles.
The sliding right-rear door opens to reveal convertible middle and rear bench seats that fold into a bed in addition to tables, closets, and drawer spaces. The kitchenette includes a sink, a faucet, a two-burner stove, a refrigerator, and power outlets.
The 2.5-liter inline-five produced 109 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque when new, and it drives the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.
Just had the transmission linkage tightened up, along with a fresh oil change, replaced some of the old plastic parts and the van shifts great. With the manual you won't have to worry about the problems that plague the automatic transmission vans.
