VenmoI have several Tailor's clappers, selling for $100 each. They are crafted by me in my shop with a variety of hardwoods. The main body is oak with bits of walnut, Aspen, Merbau, or other woods to get the colors in the decorative "quilt block". The top is sealed to protect the inlay, but the bottom is left unfinished as a traditional clapper. This allows the wood to absorb heat and moisture by setting the clapper over a freshly ironed seam.
These set a flat seem like nothing else! They are great for quilt tops, pants, or anything that you iron and want a strong, flat seem or crease.
Dimensions are 3" wide, about 12.25" long, and weight is about 2 pounds. Local pickup (Logan) only.
