This item is an Embury No. 1 "Little Air Pilot" cold-blast kerosene lantern with a ruby red globe. Production Date This model was manufactured between 1939 and 1953. The Embury Manufacturing Company introduced the "Air Pilot" line in 1939 out of their Warsaw, New York factory. The factory-painted green finish and the red globe signify a later production stretch, most likely from the post-WWII era (1946–1953) when the company used vibrant enamels to appeal to civilian markets. Production of this model permanently ended when the company was sold to Dietz in 1953.
