For sale is an authentic, highly collectible 1904 antique chromolithograph print titled "The Flaming Arrow" by the famous 1900 western frontier painting by artist A.D.M. (Astley David Middleton) Cooper (1856-1924). Published by the renowned Taber Prang Art Co. of Springfield, MA, this historic piece depicts a striking, atmospheric scene of Lakota Sioux warriors signaling a distant camp. A major highlight of this piece is its exceptionally rare, 100% original Arts & Crafts era mission oak frame. The frame features gorgeous, authentic period details including applied relief-carved crossed arrows at the top border and relief-carved tipis on the left and right borders. The bottom border is adorned with the original raised lettering displaying the title, "The Flaming Arrow." Excellent antique condition for its age. The print retains beautiful, deep coloration and atmospheric lighting. The original carved oak frame is sturdy, showing minor, beautiful age-appropriate patina and wear that adds to its historic character. Glass is intact.
