VenmoCharlie is a one-year-old AKC Golden Retriever looking for a devoted forever family. He just turned one on May 25 and is such a fun, affectionate boy.
Charlie is: • AKC registered • Neutered • Microchipped • Up-to-date on vaccinations • Crate trained • House trained
Charlie is very people-oriented and loves being close to his humans. His favorite place is curled up next to you on the couch or bed after a good play session or walk. He rides wonderfully in the car, sleeps through the night in his crate, and is very treat motivated.
He is high energy when he first comes out of his crate in the mornings and would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, playtime, and continued training. He walks well on an extendable leash, knows “sit,” and is eager to please, though he will still need consistency and guidance as he matures.
Charlie absolutely loves chew toys and needs appropriate outlets for chewing and play. He has a goofy, playful Golden personality and has proudly destroyed several Chuckit balls.
He does well with kids, cats, and small dogs. While he has done overall well with our Goldens, we feel he would likely thrive best as the only large dog in the home.
Charlie can be a little cautious when first meeting new people but warms up quickly once he feels comfortable.
We care deeply about finding the right fit for Charlie and are looking for a committed family who will truly make him part of their everyday life. Home fit is far more important to us than first-come-first-served, and we are willing to wait for the right family.
We also require that if for any reason Charlie ever needs to be rehomed in the future, he be returned to us.
We would love occasional updates from his future family as he grows and settles into his forever home.
